Frequently Asked Questions:

Is a Real Estate Lawyer Required to sell a Residential or Commercial Property in Brampton?

Yes, whether you are selling a property in Brampton (or any community in Ontario for that matter) a Real Estate Lawyer is required to ensure legal transfer of the land and to ensure full payment is received.  Our Brampton Real Estate Lawyers (Michael and Randall Longfield) will not authorize the release of keys to your former property until full payment has been received and confirmed by our Brampton office.  In addition, we will ensure that your previous mortgage has been paid in full and that you have full record and receipt of the proceeds from your Brampton sale.

What do you charge for Legal Fees related to Purchase and Sale of Real Estate in Brampton?

Our fee structure is based on the type of work completed and varies depending on whether it is a commercial or residential property.  We are always transparent with our fee structure ahead of time so please call us at 905-452-8622 for more information.

How long does a typical closing take?

If all paperwork is received ahead of time we can complete a closing the same day (often within an hour or two).  We recommend having all documents ready ahead of time so that our Brampton Real Estate Lawyers can review and ensure all information is correct.
